“Daggerz Tip LP”

If music calms the savage beast, what calms the music? A question I used to ask the block back then. A track I recorded for my first EP “ Cavalcade Of Disfigured Energy” in 2000 called 7 Days unreleased by Prez Productions, Black Owl Music and Brooklyn producer Wu Tang’s Y-Kim Da Illfigure. other artist/producers from the hood were already established in the game, I always give respect to the Ranjahz for opening the doors for the rest even if it was through inspired acts. Started with a turntable and sampler before loosing it all. By blessings of God and his servants I was given life through instruments as a tool, a gateway. It’s not at all easy to spend so much time away from any craft without being a little rusty, but Murphy‘s oil everything and shine.

this LP not a strategic strike on some as they think, it’s my duty to accomplish. This culture is embedded worldwide. Everyone has a different taste, a different ear with some similarities in taste in music. My goal is to bring back that underground sound that started my real love for this music. The purist form of hip hop/rap as it once was. We got a few vets keeping the culture and the history in present times but the struggle of the voiceless continues. As Mahalia Jackson starts us off with her voice of reasoning, you’ll immediately get the idea that Daggerz Tip is a call to rethink the African American male ways and become leaders again.
